We appreciate this kind of step, but you will also accept that you were late in doing efforts for this noble cause. But, better late than never.
Although NDTV has done what we had sought last night and posted in my last article, although the article is of larger value to start a creative debate on the issue of Media's Social Responsibility vs. Objective Reporting, or say, Journalism vs. Journalisic Activism.
We invite articles from our readers and journalists on these issues so as to start a fresh incident free debate.
Hope that other T.V. channels too will tread the way made by NDTV and never give us a chance to complaint.

माइनगुरुजी, आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दूं कि एनडीटीवी के मैनेजिंग एडिटर दिबांग खुद पिछड़े वर्ग से ही ताल्लुक रखते हैं। मीडिया के किसी जानकार आदमी से आप पता करें तो जानेंगे कि दिबांग आरक्षण के कट्टर समर्थक हैं। दरअसल सत्ता आदमी को अगड़ा और पिछड़ा बनाती है। जिसके हाथ में सत्ता है वो अंधा हो जाता है। वो अपने खिलाफ कोई बात सुनना पसंद नहीं करते। चाहे वो मुलायम हो, मायावती या फिर दिबांग। आप लोग समाज की इस नई सच्चाई को क्यों नहीं समझ पा रहे हैं। जाति के आधार पर कब तक अपनी अलग दुनिया बनाते रहोगे। अगर आप ऐसा करते हैं तो आप उन लोगों से अलग नहीं हैं, जिन्होंने जाति और धर्म की राजनीति करके देश को बांटा है। इस ब्लॉग से मुझे काफी उम्मीद है। लेकिन अच्छा नहीं लगता जब इस पर कोई जाति की बात शुरू कर देता है। राजनीति की जाति हो सकती है, कम से कम मीडिया को जाति में मत बांटो। अगर आपको लगता है कि मीडिया में अगड़ों का कब्जा है तो आगे बढ़ो... अंदर आओ तो सच्चाई समझ में आएगी। बाहर बैठकर बौद्धिक चर्चा करने का कोई फायदा नहीं। अखबार हों या टीवी चैनल... अगड़ा वो है जो बॉस का चमचा है और दलित वो है जो बॉस की जी हुजूरी नहीं करता। जिस एनडीटीवी और प्रणय रॉय को आप महान समझते हैं.. कौन नहीं जानता कि वहां भी ब्यूरोक्रेट्स के बच्चों को ही आसानी से जगह मिलती है। ये जो दलित चिंतक हैं, उन्होंने दलितता को ही अपनी रोजीरोटी बना लिया है। ये लोग भी उतने ही खतरनाक हैं, जितने कि जन्म के आधार पर खुद को श्रेष्ठ मानने वाले पतित पंडित। तुम दोनों तरह के लोग हमारे देश पर कलंक हो।

माइनगुरुजी, मतलब ये कि आप जो कहें मैं मान लूं। अगर आप कह रहे हैं कि दिबांग is all alone and at the top. क्या आप दिबांग को जानते हैं या फिर आपको उनके आसपास के लोगों के बारे में पता है? जब आप कोई बात कहते हैं तो उसके बारे में थोड़ी-बहुत जानकारी इकट्ठी कर सकते हैं। दरअसल आप जो कुछ कह रहे हैं वैसा कुछ भी नहीं है। दिबांग के पास प्रणय रॉय जैसे विजनरी बॉस हैं। जाति के आधार पर संतुलन जितना अच्छा एनडीटीवी में है उतना शायद ही कहीं और हो। फिर भी आप दिबांग का समर्थन सिर्फ इसलिए करना चाहते हैं कि वो पिछड़े हैं, तो मैं आपको कुछ नहीं कह सकता। जहां तक बाकी चैनलों को कोसने का सवाल है, आप इससे ज्यादा कुछ नहीं कर सकते। क्योंकि आप कोशिश नहीं कर रहे हैं मीडिया में अपनी जगह बनाने की। कम से कम दो-तीन दलित पत्रकार हर चैनल में काफी मजबूत स्थिति में हैं। मैं आपको इनके नाम गिना सकता हूं। ये लोग अपना काम करते हैं, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे दूसरे लोग काम करते हैं। मामला सीधे-सीधे संख्या का है। जिस शिफ्ट में जो होता है वो अपनी वाली चलाता है। आप लोग ये चुनौती क्यों नहीं स्वीकार करते, आगे बढ़िए और मीडिया पर छा जाइए। मैं आपको गारंटी देता हूं कि कोई मीडिया का बॉस कभी जाति नहीं पूछता(लेकिन आप लोग पता नहीं क्यों बहानेबाजी करते रहते हैं) मीडिया जाति के आधार पर कतई नहीं बंटा है। मीडिया सिर्फ चैनल हेड्स के इगो के आधार पर बंटा है। स्टार न्यूज का मतलब उदयशंकर का इगो, आज तक का मतलब नकवी साहब का इगो, एनडीटीवी का मतलब दिबांग का इगो....
और हां आखिर में मैं आपको बता दूं कि मुझे अपर क्लास इंटलेक्चुअल ना लिखें। मैं भी आप लोगों जैसा ही हूं। मीडिया से जुड़ा हूं और ना अगड़ा, ना पिछड़ा हूं।

Well, this paper entered into a franchisee with a local business man in a north indian city. This man is a liqour baron and a businessman without any scruples.
So what does Indian Express do? They publish news that caters to the interest of the liqouur mafia and his friends.
The paper serves his interests in the city, and his family's. News about friends is published always in a positive manner. No news against his friends and the editors.
The editor is an upper caste brahmin. He does not let people other than sharmas and guptas to work in the newsroom.
All reporters are from higher castes and they act only as if they are his chamchas, what can they do.
The editor and his chamcha reporters have formed a cartel and they enjoy govt power and pelf.
This editor is a class first idiot, who serves the interests of the liqour baron. He is corrupt in every sense.

The editor is a don of journalism in the state, he has vast experience and is knowledgeable man.
But, he uses his knowledge to further his own interests, he is close friend to every politician in the state and every bureaucrat. He will never write a word against them.
Well, apart from this, he uses the reporters as his servants, paying them a pittance. He has monoplized the news in the city and he controls and runs atleast 20 foriegn agaencies.
His phone bills are paid by bureaucrats.
Every year he employs a new girl reporter, enjoys her and then gets her a job.
Guys, who have served him for five years, are told to just pack up and leave.
Well, their is another major paper,and here again the owner is stooge of government.
He will not write the truth, even if his mother is screwed by a minister, provided he gets the price.
Their is another major paper, it is owned by another mafia don. he treats the reporters as his pet dogs.
Where is journalis then, this condition prevails in the entire industry.

यार, इन बातों का क्या मतलब है। मैंने तो पहले ही कहा कि सत्ता जिसके हाथ में है वो उसका पूरा फायदा उठा रहा है। इंडियन एक्सप्रेस, टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया और एचटी में एडिटर के साथ सोने और दूसरी ऐसी कहानियां अगर आप कहें तो मैं और भी बता सकता हूं। ये तो सच्चाई है। आप जो बता रहे हैं वो सच्ची तस्वीर है, लेकिन पूरी तस्वीर नहीं है। जो चैनल या अखबार किसी एडिटर या किसी मालिक की जागीर है, उनमें ऐसा ही होगा। लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है कि कुछ अच्छा काम हो ही नहीं रहा है। यहीं पर कई लोग बहुत अच्छा काम कर रहे हैं। मैंने तो आपसे ये कहा था कि इन लोगों को मजबूत करने के लिए जरूरी है कि दूसरे अच्छे लोग भी यहां आएं। अगर आपको लगता है कि हर कोई एडिटर के साथ सोकर या जाति बताकर ही यहां एंट्री पाता है तो आप बहुत बड़ी भूल कर रहे हैं। चीजें धीरे धीरे ही बदलती हैं। अगर समाज के सभी हिस्सों के लोग मीडिया में आएंगे, धीरे-धीरे ही सही तो ये बदलाव आएगा। गंदगी पर थूकने से सफाई नहीं होती, गंदगी को साफ करना हमारा ही काम है।
